Notice the inclusion of research findings that are contrary to the message of the advertising.

Example Socialization Project 2: British

This example focuses on the topic of peer groups.

It names types of groups but does not define them.

It explores the experience of receiving pressure, but does not make the typologies as clear as other examples.

It does use a research report at the end, to draw its material together.

Example: Hobbes Index Map

Chapter 1 highlights three key points:

  • rates of social characteristics have stability over time
  • rates of social characteristics differ by context
  • sources of differences in social characteristics can be discovered

The World Freedom Atlas is a project that involves gathering statistics from public locations, organizing them into coherent groups, and using world maps to present the results.
